The founders

Chehab went to sea in 2007 as a cruise director, leading dive operations on charter yachts in the Red Sea and the Andaman Sea. Since then he has captained a three-masted schooner in the Seychelles, looked after a bareboat charter fleet in Phuket, and spent a year as a refit technician in shipyards in San Diego and Fort Lauderdale. He then coordinated the commissioning of a newbuild liveaboard through to its first season, and since 2023 he has run operations for a liveaboard charter yacht on the Red Sea. He holds the RYA Yachtmaster Ocean certificate.

Sherif is a civil engineer who has spent four decades on large construction and power-generation projects in Egypt and Libya: first in structural design, then on site, and later as a project manager between owners, contractors and suppliers. At Rightack Nauticals he looks after finance and governance, which means the budgets and reporting that owners see, and the company’s dealings with banks, regulators and suppliers. He is trained in risk management and internal audit.
